Valuation Report Templates are sanitized valuation reports. These reports can be used for general reference but may not answer a specific valuation question, as they show how a given situation was dealt with by a consultant at a specific point in time (the valuation date).

The BV Reports Library provides a listing of sanitized business valuation reports. These reports, all written by credentialed valuers, have been reviewed through the Quality Enhancement Case Analysis Program completed by the National Association of Certified Valuation Analysts. The reports are provided for learning purposes only. Sample reports should not be used as a definitive way to complete your valuation.

The reports can, however, provide the reader with perspective on how one analyst handled a particular type of valuation, ideas on ways to handle certain kinds of information, possible resources, help with wording complex portions of a report, and other related information. The purposes of the valuations include estate tax, estate gift tax, value shares and estate planning, ESOP, divorce, marital dissolution, litigation involving a shareholder, purchase, buy/sell agreement, stock incentive plan, sale of interest, stock transfer, and others. Sample reports can provide insight as to how an individual formatted their report and the various valuation methodologies used. These reports can also be a good way to critique reports.
