WHO WE ARE
The Family Firm Institute (FFI) is an international professional membership organization dedicated to providing interdisciplinary education and networking opportunities for family business and family wealth advisors, consultants, educators, and researchers and to raising public awareness about trends and developments in the family business and family wealth fields.
The organization was founded in 1986 by a group of professionals and family business executives who recognized the need for interdisciplinary collaboration.
MEMBERSHIP PROFILE
FFI members span the entire spectrum of professionals who advise, study or work with family businesses and family offices.
FFI has more than1400 individual and organizational members, evidencing the growth of family business and family wealth advising as distinct professional fields.
71% of the membership is professional advisors; 17% educators, 6% family office/wealth professionals and 6% students.
Members are active in various countries in the Americas, Europe, Asia and the Pacific. Thirty-three percent of FFI membership is outside the U.S.
